BUNCH OF BURRELL BLESSINGS

Have received a lot of Burrell news recently.  Here goes….

FROM BABY KATE:

Prayers were answered! Last night during Kate’s bath time, the thick scab that covered her tumor came OFF with only one drop of blood!

Once the scab was removed, we were able to see the miracle God had been working on Baby Kate.  The tumor is smaller than a quarter and less than 1/4 of an inch thick.  It looks like a button!  I think the scab was hiding God’s work from us so that we would be faithful and then AMAZED at His work!  He is so good!

Kate didn’t cry or fuss.  She had no idea what was going on!

We are still giving her antibiotics for the infection [in the tumor] , and it seems to be clearing up slowly.

Thank you for your prayers!  Love, Justin, Kimberly and Baby Kate

FROM BECKY BURRELL:

The kyphoplasty was a success!  The vertebrae has been repaired and in that area I am pain free.  I now have a tens/ems unit which really helps with the pain in my lower back.  I go in Monday morning for a steroid injection in the lower back (L4, L5 area) in hopes this will alleviate chronic pain I have had since my surgery in 2001.  Two or three injections a year is my choice over another back surgery!  I am still on the walker and perhaps may be from now on.   Now and then I am able to navigate with a cane.  I do alot of furniture/wall walking!!  This is only because of my neuromusclar disorder and has nothing to do with my back.  I lose my balance easily and the walker stabilizes me.  Hey no biggee!!  I am walking!!  God is good – All the time!  Safe Holiday to all.   Love my family, Becky

FROM ALEX PARKER:

My boyfriend, Jonathan Walker who I’ve been dating since our senior year asked me to marry him and I said yes!  Jonathan is a  Marine Firefighter and stationed in Yuma, Arizona.  Because he is stationed outside of Texas and is not positive that he won’t be sent somewhere other than the United States, we decided to get married Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. in the sanctuary of our church here  in Mesquite while he is in town on leave.  After we get married and have a “mini” honeymoon, he will head back to Arizona and I will stay here in Texas.

While we are apart Jonathan will sign us up for a free house on base where he is and put his extra bonus in savings for our future. I will be living at home, still going to school online and still working at David’s Bridal, where I work now.  This separation for a few months was our decision and it is to make sure that we are financially stable when I officially move to Arizona until 2012, when he is let go and we can start our life in Texas!

After Jonathan leaves to go to Yuma, Arizona on January 11, I plan to register at Targets a a bridal shower is being planned.

Because January 5 is very short notice and because it is a small ceremony… in 2012 when we come back to Texas, we will have a “renewal of our vows” for the ENTIRE family and many, many friends to celebrate and officially witness our marriage.  Your support means the world to me!

Thank you for everything! I love you all! Alex Parker (soon to be Walker!!!)
